Seahorse Escape

CliEnt: A-LAB Hobart

Seahorse Escape is an interactive, virtual escape room designed for the A-Lab, based in Hobart, Tasmania. The goal of Seahorse Escape is to flee an underwater lab that has been compromised and facing destruction. The player achieves this by completing a series of instructions to evacuate all the test specimen from the lab before the structure collapses.

We created a hardware console with all of the control mechanisms necessary to progress through the various puzzles. The player makes use of a physical lever to pump water out of a virtual space, as well as physical keycards to swipe in and out of the various rooms in the virtual complex. There are also a number of buttons that are used to interact with the various consoles in the experience.

Seahorse Escape was designed as an educational experience for primary school aged children.
